Composition is staging and choreophony. Sounds always have a location and a direction; they are in motion and there is always a relationship between them. They are often created by living bodies, people who are present and perceived as part of the music.

As composer, I am also a director

The eye often decides differently to the ear.
Where the visual and auditory inclinations produce different results and questions, the change of media becomes a catalyst for ideas.

Drawing, like music, is an art based in time.

Son-Icons are visual music from elsewhere - created in the blind spot of perception - as a primal impression between premonition and the conscious perception of what is sounding or appearing.

Son-Icons are the desire of a thinking body and a dancing mind expressed in drawing - hybrids of musical notation and visual art.

Art leads into the very centre of thinking and out again – meanwhile, its essence is inaccessible.

Music is not a feeling, but communication, and a form of relationship. It is only then that feelings can arise.

The viola is my voice - singing is my instrument. Together they form a third element.

The most successful and gratifying improvisations are always accompanied by a certain loss of autonomy and by transformation.

In the interstices and marginal zones of media and disciplines, new spaces for thinking and creating open up - this is where the potential for renewal arises.

My work emerges in the charge and the resonance present in the body, in sound, drawing,
interior and exterior space, between disciplines, digital and analogue media, places, continents - always between people.

Compositional settings and multidimensional frames of reference, in which people can create something essential together on equal terms - that is the central theme.

The goal is not being able to replicate absolutely, but the constant development of all participants - including the score. The score too has a memory.
